The free stock photography on Kaboompics is still delivered by the one and only Karolina, the Kaboompics’ creator, sole photographer and main brain of the operation. She’s decided to evolve her photographic passion towards stock photography.
Despite various offers aimed at purchasing her works, Karolina has never decided to introduce any payments to Kaboompics. Though it has been growing and evolving for years, this has always been and always will be a free photo stock.
Back in Black
Not many free stock photography websites have a dark background.
Still, we have decided to give it a try.
Every day thousands of people are joining the dark (theme) side. We are no exception.
A dark mode is much better for your eyes. No wonder, nobody likes to stare at the sun. When using Lightroom, which is one of the most commonly used tools at Kaboompics, dark mode is a must. Processing hundreds of free photos while the screen blazes at you is no easy task.
A new, modern design goes easy on the eye. We hope you will like it as much as we do.

Honestly, it was not an easy project. It was demanding, time-consuming, and full of not-that-pleasant surprises. Just ask the 3 website developers that have/had been working on it 😀
But after months of blood, sweat and tears (and screams! yes, lots of screaming was involved), we can finally give you the free stock photography website that you deserve!
